Top 5 Two Week Temporary Hair Dyes
With temporary colours emerging online and in stores all across the UK its hard to know which products work the best and what will be the best choice for you!
Heres our top five wash out dyes and why we love them!
5 - Crazy Colour
A cheap and cheerful option, Crazy Colour have been a popular favourite among the alternative hair colour crowd since the 1977 punk hair explosion! If you're looking for two week colour, stick to the pastel shades! These dyes are great and very vibrant, but some of the more neon colours have some unexpected staying power and don't necessarily fade evenly around the hair, so use with caution if you want the colour to be gone in within your two weeks! They boast 27 amazing shades as well their own hair care range and they are developing one day pastel sprays right now! So expect new reviews on those soon!
4- Manic panic
Manic Panic have been around since 1977 and have multiple different ranges of temporary colour with 40+ colours in each range! There isn't a shade you won't find at Manic panic! However, these dyes are geared more towards regular brightly coloured haired individuals and tend to hang around in the hair closer towards four weeks than two! The transfer on these dyes can sometimes be quite significant with the colour running whenever the hair is in contact with moisture! Manic Panic are one of the biggest temporary colour brands currently on the market but are marketed more towards those of us who repeatedly dye our hair crazy colours rather than those looking for a two week summer romance with bright hair!
3-Bleach London
Bleach London have relaunched their dyes with a new package design and slightly updated formula this month after first launching their products in 2013. Bleach London was the worlds first hair salon focused on colouring instead of cutting and from one salon grew another two and their own range of dyes, bleaches, conditioners and even a makeup line that was launched this year! Their range of colours is considerably more limited than most with only 11 actual dyes in the range, however unlike the other companies, Bleach London dyes are easy to mix and create custom colours without one dye overpowering the colours in the others; allowing you to rock a completely individual colour. These dyes have some serious staying power and those of you wishing to make sure all the residue and colour is out by the end of a two week period will defiantly benefit from buying their specially formulated fading shampoo!
2-Clairol Colour Crave
Just emerging onto the scene the colour crave range is fairly limited with 17 shades in total between two ranges of colour lasting length. Colour crave are bright and bold on lighter hair types but unlike the majority of temporary dyes, still stand out loud and proud on darker natural hair colours so no one needs to get the bleach out for great results with these dyes. This dye has a real staying power, and will hang in there bright and beautiful for at least a weeks worth of washes while still looking pretty in their faded pastel toned form as the colour begins to wash away as the colour fades evenly throughout the hair.
1-L'oreal Colorista
The newbie on the crazy colour hair scene, L'oreals colorista burst onto our shelves this Spring offering a massive range of colours with 34 colours between 3 levels of lasting wear and promoting the ability for people in the mainstream crowd to explore many different colours and styles in their hair, where other companies had specifically targeted alternative scenes. L'oreal's formula washes out easily without leaving residue on the hair follicles so your natural colour stays intact, but applies bright and bold.
